Murder in Margaritaland was the perfect way to enjoy a beautiful summer night!

We have enjoyed three night of mystery parties and this was our favorite murder mystery by far.  All the guests said they had an epic night!  We may have gotten better over the years, but even without experience, this would be an excellent party to try. I loved the character names and part descriptions. The instructions were easy to follow, and for the first time in three parties, we even had 9 people solve the mystery. It was also really helpful to host with another couple. We prepared the murder mystery part while the other couple made the food and hosted at their house. We decorated and shopped together.

Decorations were fun to put together especially with the helpful tips and patterns given on the website. I loved having the kiddie pool and tiki bar to make it feel like a real resort.  For food, we served Crockpot Hawaiian little smokies, pineapple/mango salsa and chips, bbq crockpot chicken sandwiches, fruit salad, trail mix, cupcakes, and lemon cakes. Pre-made margarita mixes made it easy to add ice and blend in a blender for delicious drinks. We also had lemonade and iced tea for those who didn’t want alcohol. Then, of course, Sangria, Kona Big Wave, Surly Xtra Citra, Coronas, and Seagram’s escapes made for great tropical drinks as well.
All the guests did an excellent job on their costumes and really got into their parts.  Tatum Tatt won the drama queen award as well as the best costume and had a lot of money.  She became a goth version of a tattoo artist who could not spell and entertained the guests by creating sharpie tattoos while also taking all their money.  Cabana Bob had his sun lotion strapped to his waistband and could spray people from across the yard.  Lifesavin’ Sam brought jello shots in his medical bag which were also a huge hit!  The pretend “poop in the pool” candy bar incident in which Cabana Bob scooped it out and proceeded to eat it was an off-script highlight that left everyone in stitches.

Thanks for offering us an excellent way to entertain guests to produce an epic evening that all the people I tell want to attend!
